Thank You Lord for Your Word! It is alive and active, and it causes us, Your children, to be alive and active when we hear it and read it! Amen!

Before my ultimate surrender to God over seven years ago, the way that seemed right to me was the way of death. I was perverse in all of my ways. I was a deceitful witness. I lied. I deceived. I manipulated people to get what I wanted. And I put on an air of being ok, good even. Nobody ever saw the real me. That would have been devastating. A self-satisfying motivation is destructive, not only to those who become victims, but to the perpetrator of the evil. It has the potential of destroying the victimizer mentally, emotionally, – eventually it will take its toll. And it could be physically destructive, even if by someone else’s hand as payback.
But God. . .Psalm 18:16-24 in The Message says it best:
“But me he caught—reached all the way from sky to sea; he pulled me out Of that ocean of hate, that enemy chaos, the void in which I was drowning. They hit me when I was down, but GOD stuck by me. He stood me up on a wide-open field; I stood there saved—surprised to be loved!
GOD made my life complete when I placed all the pieces before him. When I got my act together, he gave me a fresh start. Now I’m alert to GOD ’s ways; I don’t take God for granted. Every day I review the ways he works; I try not to miss a trick. I feel put back together, and I’m watching my step. GOD rewrote the text of my life when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.”

That’s like my testimony, straight from the Word! Immediately He showed me how to walk up rightly and get wisdom. I was humbled and had to learn how to cast my care on Him. I had to learn to let Him care for me as my father would, He became my Dad in the truest sense.
“Therefore You are great, O Lord GOD. For there is none like You, nor is there any God besides You, according to all that I have heard with my ears.”
God is great! I’m not worthy. He loves me anyway, and I love Him back. I am blessed!
